Daddario Chromes Flatwound Bass Strings Reviews 5

D'Addario Chromes have precision flat (ribbon) outer windings polished to a high luster. Feel is somewhat smoother than other flats and tension is equal to most rounds of this gauge.

Purchased from just strings for $37.18 for a 5-string XL set. I was looking for something cheaper and a bit heavier tension than TI Flats that would work well with my Lakland Joe Osborn 5 with Fralin pickups. I tried rounds and TI Flats but was not happy with the sound.

These strings were perfect on my Lakland Joe Osborn 5 with Fralin pickups. UI don't know if it was the Fralins or the strings, but the Chromes provided and even driving sound that others did not. I Also like the fact that they don't cost $85 for five-string set. Solid sound in all frequencies with more highs than most flat set.

No complaints. These were perfect for this bass.

Well made an shipped in sealed packages to guard against deterioration while in the stores.

D'Addario Chromes will be a good choice for you if you don't want the near-dead thump of LaBella flats and don't like the low tension of TI Jazz Flats. Bright and articulate for each string.
